Colin’s medieval castle project
Building materials include tiles from the dollar store, tomato boxes, a Jacob’s Creek wine box, a shoe box, moss from my mother’s garden, a paper-towel insert, and, since it’s a Canadian medieval castle, duct tape.

Wow! That’s very cool. Good job Colin!
Impressive. Do you know if he’s available on short notice to do props for my Fringe show?
Hi, I’m doing a project at my school North Shore Country day. We have been researching and learning about medievil Europe. And out project was to build model castles and i couldn’t figure out what to make it out of. And so thatks to you, my team and I are making it out of tiles. So thank you!
Hi Erika,
I am thrilled that our project helped you with yours!
Good luck with the model.
Do you know which castle he recreated?
Hi Teresa,
It’s not a replica, just a hypothetical castle. He was studying castles in school, so he knew it had to have certain elements, such as the chapel, and he wanted other things, like the prison tower. We made a list of all the things we wanted or needed to include, then he drew a planning sketch, and we assembled the separate pieces before putting it all together.
